TODAY’S WORD: When you make decisions that honor God when you’re generous when you’re faithful, your life is not only going to be more rewarding, more fulfilling but that faithfulness, that obedience, is being credited to your children’s account, to your grandchildren, to future generations.

All throughout the Bible, Jesus has many names according to His attributes. In this verse, He is called Emmanuel, which means “God with us.” Aren’t you glad we serve a God who is with us? He’s not far away looking down on us; He is with us! And as believers, He’s not just around us, He’s truly a part of us. That means you’ll never be alone or terrified again. Is Emmanuel required today? Is it necessary for you to sense His presence? He’s closer to you than the air you take in.

All He asks is that we believe. When He puts a promise in your heart, don’t think of all the reasons it’s not going to work out. Sometimes you have to turn your mind off. Faith is not always going to make sense; what God says is not always going to be logical.

Thank Him for dwelling inside you. Give Him first place in your life, and as you do, He’ll pour out His abundant blessing, and you’ll experience the life of victory He has in store for you.

You’ll need a faith buddy to stand by you when your faith falters, to believe for you when you’re too disheartened, and to help you get up when you can’t. If you are a faith-filled friend, God will ensure that someone is always there to assist you and your children.

Have faith in God’s sovereignty. Take pleasure in today, knowing that God will set everything right in His own time. If you show God that you can stand the blessing, He will create opportunities, the right people will come to you, favors will push you forward.

PRAYER FOR TODAY: Heavenly Father, thank You for being Emmanuel and for choosing to live inside of me. Thank You for being with me today and for providing me with Your comfort and calm. Today, I acknowledge You so that in all I do, I may bring You honor.. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
