Be Inspired By This Message From Joel, “Don’t Waste Your Time Dwelling On Past Mistakes” – Powerful Message

The scripture says, “God so loved the world.” It doesn’t say, “God so loved the good people.” No, God loves people that have made mistakes. His grace is unrestrained.

Paul said it this way in Romans 8:28, “All things work together for good for those that love the Lord.” All things mean even our mistakes, even the times we blew it and got off course, God knows how to work it for our good.

Too often we make the mistake of remembering what we should forget—our hurts, failures, and disappointments—and we forget what we should remember—our victories, accomplishments, and the times we have made it through.

You may have made mistakes, we all have, but don’t let guilt stunt your growth. Quit thinking about all the things you’ve done wrong, living in regrets, thinking you’ve seen your best days.

There are no crosses at Lakewood Church, so Osteen and his father elected to put a globe or world map behind them to symbolize Jesus’ command to “go forth and preach hope to the world,” according to Vanity Fair.” Discussing the role of Christ with the Church Executive, Osteen said, “When Jesus was here, he lifted the fallen, he restored those who were broken. I believe in sin and repentance from sin, but we’ve all made mistakes. Life beats us up, and I feel like my message is to tell people to get back up and go again.”

You can still become who you were created to be. No mistake you’ve made is too much for the mercy of God. But you have to get back in the game. Get your passion back; get your fire back. Quit believing those lies that it’s too late, you’ve made too many poor choices, telling God everything you’ve done wrong. He’s not listening to that. If you want to get God’s attention, go to Him with boldness. Despite the mistakes you’ve made, ask Him for the favor, ask Him to open new doors, ask Him to take you where you couldn’t go on your own.

You may have made mistakes, you may feel like you missed your opportunity or you’ve messed up, but if you listen, God is calling your name.

Romans 8:28 says, “All things work together for good for those that love the Lord.” All things mean that even our mistakes, even the times we blew it and got off course, God still knows how to work it for our good.

Reclaim your enthusiasm. Get go of your guilt and prepare to break new ground. You may still become the person God intended for you to be.

Positivity in lieu of punishment helped earn Osteen the rank of third most influential evangelical in America by Newsmax in 2017, second only to Billy and Franklin Graham.
