Israel has a turbulent history that almost all civilized citizens of the world have followed from the time God freed them from the pharaoh of Egypt, massacred them by the millions in WW II by Adolf Hitler, up to now where tens of thousands are leaving Israel for good.
Despite all these trials, Israel still managed a fair and secured existence: they have a robust economy, a super mighty ally, the United States of America and a superbly equipped air force and military and the envy of the Arab world.

A few decades back, the Israelis or Jews as they are known, had been the subject of a cruel persecution in European places like Poland and Germany. Now, the Israelis are itching to go back to these countries’ for these countries have granted the Israelis their request to become citizens again. With a European Union passport, the Israelis can travel freely and work in the unions twenty-seven nations and these country’s are giving them access to quality and subsidized high standard education.
In between some Israeli thinkers hovers some fear for the future. One shrewd Israeli student observed and said that it is better to devise an escape route if anything happens to them at their adopted homeland where decades back their relatives were subjected to a shameful and macabre gassing. Moti Alberstein, a 36-year-old doctoral student in biochemistry who has just received his citizenship from Poland continued that “life in Poland entails so much uncertainty that there is need to have some security”.
Generally, Israelis are favored to have access to foreign passports because a majority of them and their parents were once citizens of country’s in Europe before Adolf Hitler almost annihilated them.
This phenomenon that we can not call a diaspora began between 2004 and 2007. Until now, the Israelis accession to the European Union nations are continuing for millions of them have roots in east Europe. The biggest is Poland. It is also in Poland where a whooping 3 million Jews were executed and gassed. Romania is second with almost one million killed.
Granting of citizenship to Israelis by the countries involved in a crime against them is some form of making amends and for the Israelis to overcome their painful history.

You are right Ausbauer, the Germans and others have a guilt complex and that is being put to good use by the Israeli’s. But the state of Israel will remain and the USA and India , yes India will not allow Israel to vanish from the map. After all it came into existence by a UN Mandate.
I still cannot blame some of them for still being skeptical. Their have been through so many over the years.
